2024 Membership Dues
The PLIA board has maintained membership dues at $50. As you know, water quality is a major focus of the Association, and without your financial participation, we can’t continue to address this ongoing challenge. Please use the enclosed form to send in your membership dues and water quality contribution as soon as possible.
Water Quality Improvement Fund
Donations from our lake property owners are critical to continue our focus on improving water quality. Your contributions to the water quality improvement fund go directly to the management/treatment of Pleasant Lake on an annual basis. This includes lake surveys, divers to hand-pull as needed, and chemical treatments to curtail future growth.
Your contributions are important and are making a difference! With your help, we have been able to treat and see a reduction in Starry Stonewort in Pleasant Lake. While this is great news, Starry Stonewort and all other invasive species will be an ongoing battle.
We strongly encourage you to make a Water Quality donation in addition to your yearly membership dues. Dues alone normally generate $5,000. However, we will need at least an additional $28,000 in Water Quality donations to cover management/treatment expenses.
Such contributions are now tax deductible, as we have our 501(c)(3) IRS status.
If you have an IRA and need to make a Required Minimum Distribution, please consider a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to the PLIA. A QCD may offer you significant tax savings. Talk to your financial professional today about a QCD for our lake association!
