Oak on the Water Fire in the Sky

  • Pleasant Lake Improvement Association P.O. Box 71 Annandale, MN 55302 United States (map)

'Oak on the Water, Fire in the Sky' is a Pleasant  Lake community tradition where the lake residents place LED flares on their shoreline at dusk on the 4th of July.  It lights up the lake and is breathtaking!  Thanks to Oak Realty and Dingmann Marine for establishing this awesome tradition!

  • Talk to your neighbors, if they will not be home on the day of this event, ask them if they would like you to help them.

  • Check the batteries, and replace them with AA if needed. If you would like to order more flares or need yours replaced, you can visit Amazon.com or there are also rechargeable flares on Amazon then choose the amount you need.

  • Place flares 15 feet apart (8 feet from y our property line)

  • Turn lights on the solid red setting at 9:45 pm.

  • Leave on until after the fireworks have been completed.

  • Store them in your car for the next year for extra safety, this way it will make it that much easier to find them in the following years to continue the tradition.
